Post-Game Quotes – Head Coach Phil Sweeney

On the importance of Ogden's goal with 21 seconds left in second period – “Looking back that was a back breaker for their team.  It was a tight game, and they outplayed us a bit in the 2nd period.  We were able to get Matt out with fresh legs, and we got a bounce and he was able to come in on a rush fresh.  The goal he scored was an absolute snipe too, we could tell they were deflated going into the locker room.  It was a HUGE goal by a clutch player.”

What does the team need to do to get a win tomorrow night and win the Duck in three games – “We have to win a lot of shifts tomorrow.  The last few weeks we have been talking about winning our shifts, the game will take care of itself.  Today we won a lot of shifts.  We also were very disciplined tonight.  We only allowed them one power play.  We also played solid defense.  We allowed 21 shots, not a lot were rebounds, and we took care of the front of our net.  That has been the recipe for success throughout the years here at DU, Win a lot of shifts, play tough defense, and stay out of the box.  These guys put themselves in position to win the DUck back tomorrow night.  Oakland will be ready, but so will we.  It is going to be a great game!”

Post-Game Notes
