GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The eighth-ranked Davenport men's basketball team will be playing only one game this week and that game will be a test as the first-place Panthers welcome third-place Madonna for a Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference showdown Wednesday at the DU Student Center. Opening tip is at 7:30 p.m.

The Panthers are coming off a 66-43 road victory over league newcomer Lawrence Tech last Saturday. Dominez Burnett continues to be the leader on the team in points as the freshman scored 18 points. He has led the team in that category in three of the last four games.

Madonna enters Wednesday's contest as one of the top teams in the WHAC as head coach Noel Emenhiser has his Crusaders at 7-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play. MU is led by an outstanding backcourt duo of Travis Schuba and Bobby Naubert who was named 1st Team All-WHAC as a sophomore last season.
