Cardinal Stritch brings a 14-game winning streak into Saturday's contest.  Their latest victory in that streak was a win over Briar Cliff (Iowa) last night 55-50.  The Wolves entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed after winning the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

CSU has been in the national tournament nine times, but this is the first time they have reached the quarterfinals.  Derek Semenas is the scoring leader for the Wolves averaging 16 points per game.  In CSU's win over Briar Cliff, Semenas had 20 points including the basket that gave them the lead with one minute to play.

Navjot Singh is another all-conference performer for the Wolves.  The senior forward averages just over 14 points per game.  Stritch ranks fourth in the NAIA with 16.88 assists per game.  Point guard Nick Ford is a pick part of that averaging 5.6 assists.

The Wolves are coming into the game as one of only four teams to defeat the Panthers this year.  On Dec. 9 they beat DU 70-59 at the Bethel College tournament in Mishawaka, Ind.  The only other common opponent between the two teams is IU South Bend.  Both squads won by double digits.
