Davenport now has won 8 straight matches and is 15-3 overall

Box Score

GOSHEN, Ind. – Kelse Moon led a Davenport attack that hit .303 on the night with 14 kills while Molly Lameyer and Nicole Chase each finished with 8 kills to lead Davenport to their eighth straight win on Friday night. The Panthers defeated host Goshen College in straight sets, 25-18, 25-15, 25-18, to improve to 15-3 on the year. DU will stay in Indiana tomorrow as they take on Purdue North Central and Huntington at the HU tri-matches.

Davenport extended its winning streak to eight matches as they used a very efficient offense and solid defense to down the Maple Leafs on their home court. Lexie Spetoskey posted a team high 10 digs while Amber Getty was tops in assists with 28.

After falling behind early, DU would take the lead for good at 7-6 on a kill from Kelse Moon. The lead would grow to as many as five (22-17) before DU ended the set scoring three out of the final four to win 25-18. The Panthers connected on 17 kills in the opening set while hitting at a .432 clip.

Sets two and three were very similar with DU slowly pulling away in each to earn their 11th sweep of the season.  The defense for Davenport was on top of their game as six different people finished with at least six digs.

Davenport will travel to Huntington on Saturday to face the host Foresters as well as Purdue North Central.  DU will play PNC at 11 and HU at 1:00pm.
