Box Score
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – Davenport fell behind 24-20 in the opening set only to rally for a 30-28 win and the Panthers cruised from there sweeping host Rochester College 3-0 (30-28, 25-20, 25-15). The win lifts the Panthers record to 8-3 on the season and they will have one week off to prepare for the WHAC opener next Wednesday when they host Lawrence Tech.
Freshman
Molly Lameyer led the offensive attack tonight as DU finished with 40 kills in the three set win. Lameyer posted 10 kills on just 16 attempts with only one error (.562%) while
Kelse Moon and
Hannah Stone finished with eight kills apiece.
Amber Getty posted a team high 32 assists while

The opening set was controlled by the host Warriors from the very start as DU struggled with some unforced error on offense. Leading 24-20, it looked as if Rochester would post the win, but four straight points tied it up and forced the home team into a timeout. The score went back and forth over the next few serves with DU finally prevailing 30-28.
The second set was very similar to the end of the first with each team taking a lead until midway when DU trailed 13-9. After a timeout, head coach
Megan Lenhart watched the team run off seven consecutive points to lead 16-13 and they went on to win 25-20. During the run, the Panthers got kills from
Brooke Pyles,
Nicole Chase and
Kelse Moon as well as an ace by
Sidney Rodriguez. The momentum carried over into the third as DU cruised to the 25-15 to garner their sixth sweep of the year.
Davenport returns to action in one week as they will host Lawrence Tech in the WHAC opener for both teams. First serve is set for 7:00pm inside the DU Student Center. Live video stats will be available.
