GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The men's rugby team has one more 15s regular season match as they head to Wheeling, W. Va., to face-off against Wheeling Jesuit. The Panthers will look to rebound in their matchup against the Cardinals, as DU lost last weekend to Penn State. Head coach Kruger VanBiljon will look to end the 15s fall regular season on a high note before they head into winter training. The kickoff between Davenport and Wheeling Jesuit is set for 3 p.m. at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, W. Va.

Scouting Wheeling Jesuit
The Cardinals are in their first season as part of D1A rugby, and are coached by Eric Jerpe. Jerpe is in his second year as head coach of the team and has a 12-8-1 overall record heading into Saturdays match up. The Cardinals are 2-4 on the year and 0-2 in the Rugby East Conference. Their two wins came against the University of Buffalo, 34-0, and St. Bonaventure, 33-27. They are coming in off loss to Kutztown last Saturday by the score of 71-12.
The Panthers
Davenport comes into the final regular season game of the fall after dropping a close game to Penn State 15-13. Leading the Panthers in scoring is freshman
Sondai Adjei, with 24 points. Adjei has two tries on the season, along with four conversions and two penalty goals.
Gabe Sochanek is leading the team in tries with four and is second on the team with 20 total points. As of late
Brady Gent and Adjei have been splitting the kicking duties for Davenport, as
Jean Pierre Eloff is still away from the team.
Head coach, Kruger VanBiljon will look to finish the regular season with a win to propel them into winter training to get ready for the spring and their Mid-South Conference games.
