GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport travels out to Iowa this weekend to compete in the Red Raider Classic hosted by Northwestern College. Head coach Burt Paddock and his No. 10 ranked Panthers got off to a 2-0 start with a Panther Tip-Off Tournament title last weekend and will meet two of the strongest programs in the NAIA with a matchup against Dordt College on Friday and Northwestern on Saturday. Rick Berkey will have the call on the DAN for both games.

Scouting Dordt – 3-0, 0-0 GPAC – Head coach Ross Douma (5th Year)
Dordt College, under the direction of fifth year head coach Ross Douma, compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). The Defenders have been a mainstay at the national tournament over the past few years and came within seconds of advancing to the Final Four two seasons ago, the same year DU made it. The Defenders are 3-0 this season with wins over Valley City State, Jamestown and Grace College and they have reached at least 96 points in each of those contests.

Scouting #15 Northwestern – 2-1, 0-0 GPAC – Head coach Kris Korver (14th Year)
The Red Raiders also are out of the GPAC and guided by 14th year head coach Kris Korver who has posted a career record of 325-99 in his 13 seasons at the helm of the NC program. The Red Raiders are 2-1 after a setback to No. 18 Dakota State on Wednesday night and will once against be looked at on the national scene as they are currently No. 15 in the Top-25 poll.
