GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The road to the NAIA National Tournament starts on Saturday for the No. 19 ranked Men's Soccer team as they begin the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament at 7 p.m. vs. Concordia University. DU is the top overall seed in the conference and will host the No. 8 seed Cardinals with the winner moving on to Tuesday's semifinal round. The game will be broadcast live on the Davenport Athletics Network.

Scouting Concordia – 6-10-2, 3-6-1 WHAC– Head coach Murali Nair (6th season)
Sixth year head coach Murali Nair has his Cardinals in the WHAC Tournament after a dramatic final day that saw they post a draw against third seed Aquinas and win a tie-breaker over Siena Heights for the final spot. The Cardinals have been led on offense this season by Alex Vrzovski who has posted seven goals and on defense by their backup goalkeeper Austin Valentine who has a GAA of 1.75 and who finished the regular season with 100 saves.
Tournament Title Hunters
Davenport, winners of the 2005 and 2010 WHAC Tournament titles, have appeared in four championship matches and have posted a 2-2 mark. DU also appeared in the title game in 2007 (2-0 loss to Aquinas) and 2009 (2-0 loss to Indiana Tech).
National Statistics
Dzenan Catic is tearing up the offensive statistical categories as the freshman is currently inside the Top-20 nationally in eight different categories. Catic is No. 2 in game winning goals (7), No. 4 in Goals (21) and No. 5 in Points (44). As a team, DU ranks No. 13 in Goals (56), No. 19 in Assists (39) and No. 19 in Shots on Goal per game (9.1).
