Scouting Madonna – 7-5, 5-1 WHAC – Head coach Noel Emenhiser (5th Year)
The defending conference tournament champions come into Saturday's matchup tied for first place in the league standings at 5-1. Fifth year head coach Noel Emenhiser and his Crusaders are 7-5 overall with four of those losses coming against teams currently inside the Top-20 of the national poll. Returning WHAC Player of the Year Bobby Naubert leads the way along with his backcourt teammate Travis Schuba. The duo is combining for 30.8 points per night and fellow senior Fred Williams is just behind averaging 13.3 and Naubert leads the conference with 6.0 assists per night. As a team, Madonna is putting up 79.8 points per game while limiting their opponents to 70.3. After Saturday, the Crusaders will host Taylor and University of Windsor in their own tournament and those will be their last games until after the new year.

Last Year vs. Madonna
Davenport had just seven losses total last year but three of those came against Madonna. DU fell at home in the regular season and in the WHAC Tournament finale and also lost a showdown that was pitted as the NAIA Game of the Week in Livonia. Coming into the season, Madonna was the only team Davenport had a losing streak against in the conference.

Road Woes Against Madonna
Davenport is 8-13 all-time against the Crusaders and they have struggled mightily in Livonia as they have only two wins in the Activities Center. DU won 84-77 in overtime in 2011 and then clinched their first ever WHAC title during the 2011-12 season with a 72-48 win but those are the only two wins on the east side. All-time, DU is 2-8 in Livonia.
