GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After trips to California, Indiana and Illinois where they have already played 19 matches, the Davenport Volleyball team will finally play in front of their home fans this Wednesday when they welcome in Michigan-Dearborn for one of two league matches this week. The Panthers, now 13-6 overall and 2-0 in league action, will then head to Concordia on Friday to face the Cardinals. Live video and stats will be provided Wednesday and for all home matches this season.

Scouting UM-Dearborn – 6-14, 0-2 WHAC – Head coach Mike Gibson (31st season)
Head coach Mike Gibson is in his 31st season as the head coach of the Wolverines and he brings his team into the week with a mark of 6-14 overall after winning their last two matches against Grace Bible College and Mount Mary. UMD has been led on offense by Nia Martin who is tops with 194 kills. No other player has more than 100 but four others have at least 80 kills on the year. Defensively, Dearborn is anchored by Rebecca Carley who leads the team with 330 digs. In their last 10 matches, UMD is 4-6.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.) – 8-9, 0-2 WHAC – Head coach Karen Graves (3rd season)
The Cardinals come into the week with an overall record of 8-9 after falling in their only two matches last week to Indiana Tech and Windsor. Head coach Karen Graves is in her third season at the helm of the program and will be led by Erica Den Boer who has posted 229 kills which is more than double the next person on the team. Adrienne Kanitz is the floor leader as she has 494 assists while Julia Szuba mans the back-row with 255 digs. The Cardinals are 0-2 in league play with losses to Indiana Tech and Northwestern Ohio.
