Scouting Adrian

Adrian enters the weekend with a 10-0-0-0 record under first year head coach Rob Hodnicki. The Bulldogs have played all the teams from the GLCHL thus far except for Davenport and Western Michigan. In the eight GLCHL games Adrian has played in they have outscored their opponent 44-17. Leading the Bulldogs offensively so far this season is freshman Brad Kobryn who has 17 goals and 28 points to lead the team in both categories. In goal, Austyn Roudebush and Matt Schones have split time both carrying a 5-0 record. Roudebush leads the way with a 2.00 goals against average and .929 save percentage.

Series Between the Bulldogs and Panthers

In the all-time series between Davenport and Adrian, Davenport leads the all-time series by a slim margin 10-9. However, the Bulldogs have won the last two matchups in the series after they beat the Panthers 4-1 in the GLCHL Championship last year and Adrian was also able to beat Davenport in Davenport's final conference game of the regular season last year.

The Panthers

Luke McCarthy is still leading Davenport with six goals and eight points in early going. Jordan Simmonds is just behind McCarthy in points with seven. Andrew Frank leads the team in assists with five and has total of six points on the year. Chris Eckler rounds out the top four scorers with six points. In net, Matt Kaludis played in four of the first six games for the Panthers and has a 2-2-0 record to go along with a .897 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average.

GLCHL Outlook

Adrian still leads the way in the conference with a perfect 8-0-0-0 record against conference opponents. Michigan-Dearborn and Western Michigan both played non-conference opponents last weekend along with Davenport to stand put in the conference. Adrian was able to sweep Oakland to drop the Grizzlies to 3-3-0-0 on the conference play. Last weekend Kent State and Eastern Michigan split their series; as Eastern Michigan was able to pick up their first conference win.

ACHA Rankings

Last week in the ACHA, Arizona State was able to grab the number one spot in the rankings once again, but dropped their first game of the season to third ranked Central Oklahoma. The Bronchos have their sits set on the number one sport in the rankings this week after beating Arizona State and finishing their weekend with a two game sweep of Arizona. Davenport moved up two spots last week to 14th, which put them in a tie with Navy.
