LIMA, Ohio ā In their lone WHAC match-up of the week the Panthers looked to avenge their loss to the Racers back on Sept. 17. Davenport battled each set but was unable to hold off UNOH and fell 3-0 (25-27, 21-25, 21-25) in the match. DU is now 22-6 overall and 14-2 in conference play.
Set one was a back and forth match that produced fourteen different ties and six lead changes. Hitting just .104 in the set Davenport still held a 21-20 late lead but couldn't put together the string of points needed and fell 25-27. UNOH took full control of set two winning 21-25 and completed the match with the same score (21-25) in set three to win 3-0.
Krissy Dill (11) and
Marcey DeHaan (10) each led the team in kills while
Amber Getty finished with 36 assists.
Davenport will continue their busy week at the Bone Yard Brawl with two matches on Friday and Saturday down in Georgetown, Ky. The Panthers will face all ranked teams including No. 9 Viterbo, No. 17 Georgetown, No. RV Indiana Wesleyan and No. RV Bryan College.
