Two Games in Two Days on Tap for No. 4 Men’s Basketball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport men's basketball team will finish up another busy stretch as the will play two games in as many days, which will close out a three game in four day stretch. After beating Madonna 70-57 on Saturday, Davenport will play their final non-conference home game on Monday against Jamestown (N.D.) before they host WHAC foe Indiana Tech on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Both games can be caught live on the DAN with Rick Berkey on the call.

A Quick Look at Jamestown (N.D.) – 4-5, 0-0 NSAA – Head Coach Alan Magnani
Jamestown comes into the match up with a 4-5 overall record on the season. They are coming off a pair loss against Southwest Minnesota State in an exhibition game and lost their last regular season game, 74-65 to Minnesota Crookston. As a team the Jimmies are scoring 73.2 point per game, while allowing 75.1 per game. The leading scorer for Jamestown (N.D.) is Brequan Tucker with 19.3 points per game. Tucker is also the leading rebounder averaging 4.6 rebounds per game. The only other player that is averaging double figure in points is Jake Hagler with 11.4 per game.
 
First All-Time Meeting
This is the first time that Davenport will Jamestown (N.D.). The Panthers have also never faced an opponent from the North Star Athletic Association. This is also the first time that Davenport has faced an opponent from the state of North Dakota.

A Quick Look at Indiana Tech – 2-5, 1-2 WHAC – Head Coach John Peckinpaugh
The Warriors are 2-5 on the year and are 1-2 in WHAC play in the early going. Indiana Tech won the first conference game of the season Lawrence Tech, but have since lost their last two to Siena Heights and Concordia. The one common opponent the Panthers and Warriors have had so far this season is St. Francis (Ind.), as Indiana Tech lost 79-59 to St. Francis. The Warriors average 62.6 points a game, however their opponent has outscored them by an average 11.8 points per game. The only player to average in double figures is Chester McFadden with 11.6 points per game. Franklin Lindsey is knocking on the door of double figures with 9.9 points per game.
 
Panthers vs. Warriors
In the all-time series against Indiana Tech, the Panthers and Warriors have each won 12 games in the 24 total meetings. Indiana Tech won the first six meetings of the series and eight of the first nine meetings between the two teams. Since coach Burt Paddock took over the Davenport men's basketball program the Panthers have won 11 of the 15 meeting between the two programs.
