GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport and Lawrence Tech pulled the curtain on the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men's soccer regular-season Monday night.
Chase Burgess scored the go-ahead goal at 31:35, Dzenan Catic went back-to-back to reach No. 30 of the season and
Joan Nievas recorded his first of the year to give the 14
th-ranked Panthers a 4-0 win over the Blue Devils on a cool but beautiful night on the Turf Field.

Davenport finishes the regular season 15-3-0 overall, 8-2-0 in the WHAC, and will take the third seed in the upcoming league tournament, which begins with sixth-seed Indiana Tech visiting Saturday at 7 p.m.

Both teams started off slow during the first 30 minutes of the contest, despite each side having one or two close opportunities.
Lawrence Murray got the Panthers scoring started when he connected to Burgess in the middle and the redshirt senior's blast from a distance beat Blue Devil keeper Josh Lance.

Catic's first goal on the night came in the 36
th minute.
Omar Mansah dribbled to the end line and used excellent footwork to protect the ball from the Blue Devil defense and find Catic on the right side for the two-touch shot. His second goal was off a penalty kick in the 53
rd minute.

Nievas completed the four-goal victory as the clock was counting down to zero.

Davenport finished the day outshooting Lawrence Tech 21-10 overall, 10-2 on goal. DU also won the corner kick department 8-5.
