John McCloud finishing off the run with a pretty feed from
Dominez Burnett. The lead grew to as many as 17 but a late three by UMD made the score 40-26 in favor of the Panthers at the break.
The second half opened with the Wolverines hitting a three-pointer on their first three possessions but DU got solid play from
Kevin Rich and
Braima Hai to keep the lead above the eight point mark and eventually they upped it to 20 (81-61) on a layup from
Brendan Cooper with just over two minutes to play.
