The Panthers Â
Fifth ranked Davenport has had their share of ups and downs so far this season as they suffered their first loss of the season in a rematch against Western Ontario last Saturday.
Knute O'Donnell was the only Panther to find the try zone as he recorded a pair of tries to keep the Panthers in the contest. Unfortunately Davenport was unable to tally any more points in the contest, as they came out on the losing end of this hard fought rematch.
Â
Heading into the match at Penn State, coach
James Wood will look for more production from his experienced group of guys as they figure to be more active on the scoreboard this time around.
Â
Scouting Penn StateÂ
#10 Penn State has been looking forward to this game all summer, as this is their first official match of the season. This will be the second time the Nittany Lions meet with Davenport, as they escaped with a 15-13 victory last October. The Panthers received tries from
Roman Mares and
Mason Baum in the contest, but missed conversions ended up costing the Panthers a chance at a victory.
Â
The Nittany Lions also play host to Shippensburg University this Saturday, a little after this game concludes.
