Davenport was able to regain their two goal lead as they went into the locker room.

The third period started out as a defensive battle, until the Lions were able to pull within one goal for the second time in the game after Thompson was able to win the draw back to Cody Walsh, who was able to score for the Panthers to push the lead to 4-2. Lindenwood tried to make a comeback after they pulled within one goal for the third time, but the Clayton Brown was able to make some key saves for Davenport down the stretch to hold on to the 4-3 win over Lindenwood.

After the game head coach Phil Sweeney talked about his team's performance, "I am very happy with the way we performed defensively in the game. The guys played structured and were willing to block shots. Lindenwood is a good team, but our team speed was the difference and the team played great. We need to get greedy and go for the weekend sweep."

The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday night as they finish the weekend series at Lindenwood on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
