GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers took on Siena Heights University Wednesday night in their second matchup of the season with the Saints. Siena got the best of DU back on September 2 when they swept the Panthers in Adrian.
DU fell behind after Siena rallied late in set one to take the early match advantage. The Panthers then rallied with three-straight set victories to take the match, 3-1.
Marcey DeHaan led the Davenport attack all evening with 19 kills on a .419 hitting percentage. The Panthers controlled the match all night despite dropping the first set as the DU defense held Siena to a .178 hitting percentage.

Morgan Torres combined for 44 digs to lead the defense while
Ashley VanderHorst tallied six blocks.
The Panthers grabbed control of the each set early and fought off the Saints late to solidify their seventh WHAC victory of the season. Tracer was consistent all night for Davenport as she recorded a career-high 49 assists to aid the Panther offense that totaled 57 kills. Davenport saw double-digit kill performances from three players as VanderHorst and
Molly Lameyer added to the consistent attack. The Saints were not able to come back to take out the Panthers following the first set to give DU a 13-12 overall record and a 7-5 mark in the WHAC.
