Jordan Crawford scored two goals and added an assist as the men's Division III hockey team improved to 4-6 overall with a 5-3 win at Northwood (5-8) on Friday night. The Panthers scored three times in the third to pull ahead for the two-goal spread. Northwood and Davenport were tied 2-2 heading into the final period.
Nick Scott scored at 3:02 of the first assisted by Bailey Rietman. Crawford scored at 1:27 of the second period unassisted for a 2-1 lead. Max Schemansky and Kyle Nedbal scored back-to-back goals for a 3-2 NU lead.
Parker Schmitt scored at 11:24 of the third to tie the score at 3-3 with an assist from Crawford.
Jacob Blok scored the game-winner at 16:36 from Scott and Crawford iced it away with Rietman on the assist at 19:58.
Andrew Habasevich stopped 37 shots for the Panthers. Few penalties were called as DU went 0-for-2 on the power play while NU was 0-for-1.
