GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Panthers hosted IU-Northwest Friday night in a matchup with the 8-4 Red Hawks. IU-Northwest played DU tough early, but a big third quarter allowed for the Panthers to pull away as they advanced to 8-2 following an 86-49 victory.

The Red Hawks held the Panthers in check through the first 10 minutes of the game as DU held a slight 21-18 edge after the first quarter. DU then began to pull away in the second quarter as Tiesha Stokes led the Davenport offense in the first half with eight points scored. DU would bring a 40-26 advantage to the break behind stingy defense that allowed the Red Hawks to shoot 29.7% from the field and forced 12 turnovers.
