Box Score UPLAND, Ind. – The Davenport men's basketball team wrapped up their non-conference portion of the schedule with a 69-55 road win at Taylor University on Tuesday. The Panthers improved to 12-2 overall and never trailed in the contest against the Trojans (4-6). Davenport struggled from the outside going 5-of-23 but also pressured the Trojans into shooting 5-of-27 from the arc. Taylor shot 31.5 percent from the floor (17-of-54) as half of their shots were three-pointers. Davenport finished 34.4 percent from the floor (21-of-61) six percentage points below their season low back on Dec. 1 against Indiana-East. The difference was the charity stripe where DU went 22-of-26 one game after shooting just 50 percent at UNOH on Saturday. Taylor got to the line 21 times and converted 16 (76.2 percent).

Dominez Burnett scored 20-plus points for the 12th time in 14 games this season with 29 points on 10-of-18 from the floor and 9-of-10 at the foul line. He also posted his second straight double-double with 12 rebounds and also had three assists. Redshirt junior
Kevin Rich scored 11 points hitting double figures for the seventh time and moving over 900 career points in the process. Rich made two of DU's five triples and snagged a season-high nine rebounds (one shy of career-high).
Braima Hai contributed seven points, four rebounds and three assists. The Panthers dominated on the glass with a 51-33 advantage which was their largest margin of the season.
