Alex Law scored 14 points, including 12 in the first half, and
Tiesha Stokes added a dozen, and the No. 2 Davenport women's basketball team returned home and put 39 points on the board in each half to take down Concordia 78-34 Saturday afternoon.

The newly-crowned nine-time Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference champion Panthers (26-0, 20-0) matched its season-low in points allowed but came up two short from matching the Student Center record set back in 2012, when the Panthers crushed Ohio Wesleyan 77-32.

Law and Stokes' both produced 26 of the Panthers 54 points scored off the bench.
Kayleigh VanKeulen went 3-for-5 from 3-point range for nine points to lead the starting five. Despite putting 78 points in the scorebook, Davenport ended up shooting 36.8 percent from the floor.

Momo Neal brought down six rebounds, five offensively, to lead the team in that department. Davenport finished the afternoon outrebounding the Cardinals (4-24, 3-17 WHAC) 54-32. The Panthers also went to the glass offensively 25 times.

The Panthers defense did force 30 turnovers for the third time this season. They also prevented every Cardinal from reaching double figures in points. Colleen Szakacs led the effort for Concordia with eight points.

While Davenport never trailed, it did build a 25-point lead by halftime (39-14). The Panthers' largest lead was 47, when
Tiesha Stokes free throw put them up front 69-22 with 7:45 remaining in the contest.

Davenport hits the road one last time in the regular season Wednesday when it will travel to Lourdes. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
