SYLVANIA, Ohio – Davenport's No. 2 women's basketball team closed the road portion of its 2014-15 regular-season schedule with a 79-48 win over Lourdes Wednesday evening.

Tiesha Stokes quickly scored 10 points in 2:20 late in the second half to finish with 18 points. She also added 10 rebounds to complete her first double-double since Jan. 24 against Cornerstone.

Linnea Brandholm finished the night with 14 points including hitting three of Davenport's five 3-pointers.

Defense was also a key ingredient to the win as the Panthers (27-0, 21-0 WHAC) caused a season-high 33 turnovers and recorded 22 steals.
Kia Frazier tallied six takeaways to lead the pack.

Lourdes (8-21, 4-17 WHAC) veteran Lauren Tilden closed the book in her career at Tam-o-Shanter with 16 points while Jessica Durr contributed a dozen.

The Panthers edged the Gray Wolves in rebounding 39-35.

Although Lourdes trailed as few as one (10-9), Davenport took complete control of the contest during a 26-0 run in the span of nearly 11 minutes. The Gray Wolves went 0-for-8 from the floor but had 14 turnovers while the Panthers forced 10 steals. Stokes and Carter combined for 15 points during the run.

Davenport went into intermission leading 39-14 and shooting 44.8 percent around the perimeter.

The Panthers pull the curtain on the regular-season at the Student Center Saturday hosting Marygrove at 1 p.m. Davenport will honor its senior class before tipoff.
