GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After concluding their regular season last weekend at home against Kent State, the Davenport D1 hockey team will start their postseason this weekend as they travel to Battle Creek, Mich., for the GLCHL tournament host by Western Michigan. The Panthers enter the tournament as the second seed in the tournament and will start the tournament against seventh seed Eastern Michigan on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Scouting Eastern MichiganÂ
After facing Davenport two weeks ago, Eastern Michigan enters the tournament with a 9-27-0-1 record on the season as was able split a road series at Michigan-Dearborn last weekend. Leading the way for the Eagles this season has been Jon Farkas, who is the only player on the team with at least 20 goals and 40 points. Anthony Stankiewicz is knocking on the door of the 40 point mark with 36 points on the season as he leads the team in assists. Joe Moza has played the majority of time in net this season for head coach Kevin Gee as he has compiled a 5.67 goals against average and .856 save percentage.

The PanthersÂ
After completing the regular season last weekend, Davenport ends the regular season with a 22-10-1-4 record on the season.
Chris Eckler is the only Panther with at least 40 points on the season as he leads the team with 40 points and 27 assists.
Jordan Simmonds is the leading goal scorer for Davenport this season as he has scored 23 goals on the season. Head coach

Matt Kaludis and
Clayton Brown. Brown leads the tandem with a 2.66 goals against average a save percentage of .898 for the season. Brown has also recorded both shut outs for the Panthers this season.

GLCHL TournamentÂ
After winning the conference regular season title, Adrian also earned the first round by in the conference tournament and will play on Saturday. Davenport grabbed the second seed in the tournament and will face seventh seed Eastern Michigan on Friday. After seeds three through six were decided by just four points, Oakland was able to grab the third seed was and will face Kent State who is the sixth seed. Oakland and Kent State will kick off the tournament on Friday afternoon. In the final opening round game on Friday, fourth seed Western Michigan will face fifth seed Michigan-Dearborn. All games in the GLCHL tournament will be played at the Revolution Ice Center in Battle Creek, Mich.
