GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The second-ranked Davenport women's basketball team started their postseason run on Wednesday night as they played host to Lawrence Tech in the WHAC Quarterfinals.
Linnea Brandholm and
Daina Grazulis led the Lady Panthers with 17 points apiece as they took down Lawrence Tech, 84-44. Davenport now moves onto the WHAC Semifinals where they will face crosstown rival Cornerstone at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the DU Student Center.

The tandem of Grazulis and Brandholm led the Panther offense scoring a combined 34 points, while Grazulis was 7-for-8 from the floor and Brandholm went 5-for-9 from behind the arc.
Alex Law chipped in with 13 points off the bench as she was 5-for-7 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the arc.

Davenport came storming out of the gates as they went on a 20-5 run in the first 6:41 of the game after
Tiesha Stokes capped off the run with a layup. The Lady Panthers were able to continue to pull away from the Blue Devils as they took their largest lead of the half with 3:10 remaining in the half as they led 43-20. The Panthers closed out the half shooting 58.1 percent from the field as they took a 45-25 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, the Lady Panthers continued to pull away as they went on a 14-4 run to open the half to take a 59-29 lead with 12:58 left in the second half. DU was able to continue to stretch their lead throughout the half as they beat Lawrence Tech 84-44, which was their largest lead of the game. Davenport shot 51.6 percent from the field for the game, while they held Lawrence Tech to just 34.8 percent from the floor.

Davenport now moves on to the WHAC Semifinals on Saturday, where they will face crosstown rival Cornerstone, who is the fourth seed in the conference tournament. Tipoff between Davenport and Cornerstone is slated for 1 p.m. at the DU Student Center.
