ALMA, Mich. – The Davenport cheer team continued their STUNT schedule on Sunday afternoon as they traveled to Alma, Mich., to face Michigan State and host Alma in a pair of STUNT games. The Panthers started off the day with a 17-5 win over Michigan State and beat host Alma 18-10 to cap off the day. The Panthers will be in action this coming weekend as they travel back to Alma for an NCA event hosted by the Scots.

In the first game of the day for Davenport, the Panthers started out strong as they took a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. DU continued to pull away in the second as they shutout Michigan State to take an 8-1 lead into the half. Davenport continued to maintain control in the game as they beat the Spartans 17-5 to move to 2-0 in STUNT games.

In the second game against host Alma, Davenport continued perform well as they took a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was tightly contested as each of the routines was tied so the Lady Panthers maintained their three point lead heading into the half. Davenport increased their lead in the third quarter to take an 11-7 lead into the fourth quarter, where Davenport was able to hang on to beat Alma 18-10 and move to 3-0 on the season.

Davenport will be in action this coming weekend as they return to Alma, Mich., for an NCA competition on Sunday afternoon.
