GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers took on Lourdes University Saturday afternoon in their first home WHAC match of the season. Davenport and the Gray Wolves played an even match through 42 minutes before Lourdes took the 1-0 lead with just 2:04 left on the first half clock.
Davenport looked to rally in the second half as they tallied seven shots and three shots on goal.
Shameeka Fishley led the offensive surge as she recorded a game-high five shots and three shots on goal. DU goal keeper
Tara Gessler (3-4-1) kept the Panthers in the game as she recorded five saves but the Panthers were not able to beat the Lourdes keeper as they fell, 1-0.
