Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 2 ranked Davenport men's soccer team recorded their second shutout of the season and improved to 7-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the WHAC with a 3-0 win at Concordia on Wednesday.
Kyler Jacobs got his second start of the season and earned his first shutout by making one save in the contest. DU dominated the match with a 31-3 edge in total shots and 19-1 in shots on goal. Jonathan Detwiler made 16 saves for the Cardinals who dropped to 0-9, 0-2 in the WHAC this season.
Joan Nievas scored his second goal of the season in the 27th minute with an assist from T.J. Ifaturoti.
Alex Mendez scored his third goal of the season in the 40th minute with an assist from
Kevin LaCroix. Davenport took 14 shots on goal in the first half alone.
Owen Stratton scored his first goal of the season in the 79th minute unassisted to end the scoring for the Panthers.
