GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport men's rugby team captured a 39-7 win over visiting Western Michigan for their first win of the season. Brady Gent converted the first two tries for the Panthers in the first seven minutes for a quick 10-0 lead. Reece Czarnecki scored near the 25-minute mark and Gent added another try 10 minutes later for a 20-0 halftime lead. Mike Houston scored eight minutes into the second half for a 25-0 lead. Jeff Snikkers converted a try in the 65-minute mark and Noah Zomberg made the conversion for a 32-0 lead. The Broncos got on the board in the 72-minute slot and made their conversion. Czarnecki concluded the scoring in the 80-minute range and Zomberg added the conversion for a 39-7 triumph.
