Box Score 2 The men's Division I hockey team captured a pair of lopsided wins over Eastern Michigan to run their win streak to 15 games and improve to 24-2-0-1 this season. The fourth-ranked Panthers won 10-2 at the Taylor SportsPlex on Friday and then returned home to Patterson Ice Center for a 12-0 win on Saturday.
Both games were marred with penalty minutes as the Eagles had 28 on Friday and 65 on Saturday. The Panthers made the most of their power play opportunities going 3-for-5 on Friday and setting the school record with seven power play goals in nine chances on Saturday.
Chris Eckler had a pair of goals on Friday and Saturday and added four assists during Saturday's game.
Cameron Dimmitt recorded a goal and three assists on Friday.
Alex Hulford had two assists on Friday and a five-point game with three goals and two assists on Saturday.
The Panthers had a total of 56 shots on Saturday and scored eight times against Kevin O'Shea and four times against Jacob Mulka.Â
