Panthers Win Third Straight Match After Beating Marygrove 3-0

DU remains undefeated against Marygrove in Women's Volleyball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Panthers made quick work of the Mustangs as they defeated Marygrove in three sets. Davenport has now won 24 out of the last 25 sets against Marygrove in women's volleyball.

Records: Davenport 10-10 (5-3 WHAC), Marygrove 3-9 (0-8 WHAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
-SET SCORES: 25-19, 25-19, 25-23
-The first set was a back and forth battle up until the end of the set. The Panthers would win seven out of the last nine points to close the set.
-Interesting enough the second set had the same score as the first set, DU won  25-19. Izzy Huntington would tally six kills in this set.
-The Mustangs put up a fight in the third and final set, DU would squeak the win out by a score of 25-23. Jessica Marvin would provide the match winning kill, assisted by Sydney Tracer.
-Krissy Dill led DU with 16 kills and Huntington was next with nine kills.
-The Panthers saw three ladies with double digit figures in digs, Kasey Stehouwer had 17 digs, Morgan Torres had 15, and Dill had 14.
-Sami White and Tracer split time as the setter, White tallied 23 assists and Tracer notched 19 assists.

-Dill ranks 38th in total kills with 241
-Dill ranks 45th in kills per game 3.540

UP NEXT
The Panthers get a couple days to catch their breath after playing three matches in only four days. Davenport will travel to Sylvania, Ohio to take on Lourdes this Wednesday at 7 p.m.  Davenport is 10-10 (5-3 WHAC), Lourdes is 14-3 (8-0 WHAC). Lourdes is currently ranked #11 in the country and has an undefeated record in conference play.
