BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Panthers escape last night with a 3-2 victory at Buffalo. Davenport was tied 2-2 up until the third period. The Panthers would be happy with the outcome as they would win 3-2 and stay undefeated on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The first period saw the Bulls take an early lead as they scored the first goal of the game. The Panthers would respond with two goals of their own by
Michael Lozicki and
Alex Hulford.
-Davenport would be shutout in the second period as the Bulls would score a goal of their own to tie it 2-2 after two periods.
-Sophomore
Alyx Fonseca would provide the game winning goal for the Panthers during the third period, he was assisted by
Adam Goudelock and
Wade Weisgerber.
-Three different Panthers scored a goal each, Lozicki, Hulford and Fonseca.
-Both
Jordan Simmonds and Weisgerber notched two assists each.
-Freshmen
Jason Rhynold spent all 60 minutes in the net and stopped 24/26 shots sent his way.
COACHES CORNER"Buffalo really slowed our pace down and blocked a lot of shots" said head coach
Phil Sweeney. "They won a lot of battles in front of both nets, and took us out of our game a bit. However, we battled and had a good third period to get the win. We will make adjustments and be better today".
UP NEXTThe Panthers have a chance to show the adjustments made over night against the same Buffalo team today at 3:30 p.m. Davenport looks to stay perfect on the road and continue their undefeated season.
