Panthers Are Sizzling Hot After 7-0 Landslide At Buffalo

Davenport continues their undefeated season as they beat up on Buffalo 7-0 in New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Panthers are sizzling hot as they continue their undefeated season after a win at Buffalo. The Bulls played Davenport to a close game two nights ago and the guys reminded Buffalo who the Panthers really are last night. Davenport would shutout the Bulls on their home ice and score seven goals in the process.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first period was a real defensive battle as neither team would score a goal. Junior goaltender Tanner Swift would tally 12 saves during the first period.
-The Panthers turned things around in the second period as they score three goals while shutting out the Bulls. Michael Lozicki would score two of the goals and Chris Eckler had the other goal.
-Davenport would put their foot on the gas in the third period as they poured in another four goals all while shutting out the Bulls again. Four different Panthers scored and Louie Abounader assisted on three of the goals.
-Lozicki was the leader with two goals.
-Abounader was a monster as he assisted on four different goals and score a goal of his own.
-Davenport found themselves in the penalty box a total of ten minutes throughout the game.
-Swift spent all 60 minutes in goal and delivered a shutout as he stopped all 22 shots sent his way.
 
COACHES CORNER
"Our energy guys really brought it tonight" said head coach Phil Sweeney. "Abounader and Lozicki had outstanding individual efforts. Swift kept us in the game early as the Bulls offense was hounding us on the defensive end. I really enjoyed watching the guys in the second and third periods click on all cylinders".

 
UP NEXT
The Panthers get some extended time off as they don't play again until the 28th of October. Davenport will host Adrian College at the Patterson Ice Arena, start time is scheduled for 8:35 p.m.
