FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Davenport men's soccer team concluded the regular season on Saturday with a 6-0 win at Indiana Tech to finish 15-1-2 overall and 9-0-2 in the WHAC. The Panthers will await the decision between Northwestern Ohio and Siena Heights tonight to see if they finish first or second in the conference. UNOH needs to tie or lose to propel the Panthers into a first-place tie.
TJ Ifaturoti scored 2:21 into the match from
Jordan Van Oostenbrugge and Davenport took a 1-0 lead into the second half. Much like the Siena Heights match earlier in the week, DU scored five second-half goals to pull away for the victory.
Tyler Collishaw scored at 56:29 as he picked off a pass and beat the Indiana Tech defender.
Cam Cavanagh made it 3-0 at 59:22 from
Jake Love on a free kick rebound. Ifaturoti got his second of the game at 66:38 on a pass from Love.
Brogan Shrimpton scored at 71:57 again from Love on a chip pass and a side step around the goalkeeper.
Yovany Duran ended the scoring at 78:52 from Shrimpton on a low pass across the top of the box.
