DEARBORN, Mich. – The Panthers take care of business at UM-Dearborn, defeating the wolverines 5-2 on their home ice. This victory increases the Panthers win streak to four games, and have yet to be defeated this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED-Davenport wasted no time in taking the lead as they would score two goals in the first period while shutting out the Wolverines.
Jon Mencer would net the first goal of the game, assisted by
Michael Lozicki and
Adam Goudelock.
-The second period saw lots of action, as DU would score three goals and the Wolverines would score their only two goals of the game. All three of Davenport's goals were even strength goals, scored by
Ian Thompson,
Louie Abounader and
Joey Ogden.
-Neither the Panthers or Wolverines could score in the third period. Davenport would tally ten penalty minutes in a very physical final period.
-Five different Panthers would score tonight,
Everett Thompson,
Ian Thompson, Mencer, Ogden and Abounader.
-Nine different Panthers would tally an assist.

Marc Anderson led DU with four penalty minutes, he received all four of these on a roughing penalty in the third period.

Jason Rhynold played all 60 minutes in goal, he would stop 36 of 38 shots sent his way.

Phil Sweeney. He later stated that "It was a big, early season game and our guys answered. I'm happy with the pace we played with tonight. I'm hoping we play tomorrow with the same tempo. We did a lot of little things right, and it paid off".
