GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Count them up folks, one, two, three, four, five, the Panthers have won their first five games of the season. Davenport doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon. Davenport would take care of business at home tonight by defeating University of Michigan Dearborn 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The first period saw a lot of back and forth play as each team would score one goal.
Jordan Simmonds provided the first goal for DU as he was assisted by
Aaron Beally and
Wade Weisgerber. UM-Dearborn would score their goal shorthanded in the 12
th minute of the game.
-Davenport would cash in on their power play opportunities in the second period as all three of their goals came off the power play.
Chris Eckler,
Alex Hulford and
Everett Thompson all would score on power plays during the second period.
-Simmonds would add a security goal early in the third period as he was assisted by both Hulford and Weisgerber.
-Simmonds led the team with two goals.
-Both Weisgerber and Beally assisted on two goals tonight.

Tanner Swift spent all 60 minutes defending the net as he saved 22 of the 24 UM-Dearborn shots.
