BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 1 NAIA men's lacrosse team continued their dominance on Saturday with a 24-3 win over Missouri on a neutral field. Davenport has a 9-0 record this season and is winning by an average of 12 goals per game.
The Panthers scored 20 or more goals for the fifth time in nine games this season. DU had five goals in the first quarter and six more in the second building an 11-1 halftime lead. The Tigers scored twice in the fourth quarter while the Panthers had eight in the third quarter and closed out with five more goals in the final quarter.
Bryan Larocque struck gold eight times in the contest and also had one assist.
Paul Schalau scored twice and led the team with six assists.
Jimmy DeJaeger had 21-of-32 success in the face-off circle and totaled seven ground balls.
Jarred Riley scored three goals and added an assist. DU had 31 ground balls and caused five turnovers.
