GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport men's rugby squad was defeated 34-0 on a snowy day against visiting Life University on Saturday at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. Life improved to 4-0 in the Mid-South while the Panthers are now 0-3. Maciu Koroi had a big day, and in fact scored Life's first try. Blane McIlroy converted that try and added a penalty before Zander Van Schalkwyk raced in after Life won a scrum. That left the score 17-0 at halftime. In the second half, scrumhalf Kevin Lynch sniped over from close-range, and McIlroy converted and then added a penalty. That made it 27-0, and Life finished it off when Marcus Walsh went over and McIlroy converted.
