ADRIAN, Mich. – The Panthers saw balanced scoring and shut down defense Thursday night as the team played a solid all-around game in their 21-2 victory over Siena Heights University. Amber Livingston led the Panther offense with a six-goal performance as DU advanced its 2016 record to 8-1, 7-0.

DU started off hot as they scored the first seven goals of the game before the Saints could answer. Jessica Lemcke got DU on the board on a Hanna Bush assist. Lemcke would tally two more scores while Brooke Knoll, Livingston, and Emily DeVries each tallied a score as DU took control of the game, 7-0, with 23 minutes remaining in the first half.

The Panthers pitched a second half shutout and tallied eight more goals as DU remained unbeated in WHAC play on the season. Livingston tallied three second half scores while Lemcke added two more goals and Payton Cardoza scored her first of the season and her career.

Knoll went on to record five goals and Lemcke added five goals for the game. Bush totaled a team-high eight points on two goals and six assists while Tara Pluger added three assists. Knoll scored at least five goals for the seventh time this season and now has 44 goals on the season.

DU outshot the Saints 41-to-7 for the game with 33-to-2 on goal. The Panthers dominated the draw (19-5) as Mariah Newton led DU with eight draw controls. Samantha Powers (8-1) earned the victory in goal with 30 minutes played. Alex Yates replaced Powers at the break and totaled 30 minutes of action.
