KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The men's rugby team began a new era with head coach Harry King on Saturday with a 77-0 win over Western Michigan. The Panthers jumped out to a 45-0 lead at halftime and never slowed down in the lopsided win. The weather was ideal for the match and Davenport simply player at a higher level than the Division II club from WMU. The teams work rate on the field showed in the scoring opportunities.

"We played a solid game of rugby with only a few minor things to work on before a tough contest against Notre Dame College next week," said King. "I'm looking for the veterans to step up and lead by example this week in practice."
