Box Score 2 BELLEVUE, Neb. – The women's volleyball team went up against a pair of talented opponents on Saturday on day two of the Bellevue Labor Day Classic. The Panthers dropped a 3-0 decision to Oklahoma City in the first match of the day by scores of 22-25, 21-25 and 24-26.
Davenport hit .224 for the match with 36 kills in the three-setter. Oklahoma City hit .260 with a total of 50 kills. The Stars (5-2) were led by Manon Soraru's 17 kills and a .464 hitting percentage. DU had a team-high nine kills from
Ashley VanderHorst who hit .300 in 20 attacks.
Carly Nichols and
Sarah Wendling each had seven kills.
Sydney Tracer had 28 assists and six digs.
Kasey Stehouwer led the team with 19 digs.
Dordt (5-2) dropped the first set to DU, 25-21, and then won the next three by scores of 21-25, 17-25 and 16-25.
Krissy Dill led the team with 13 kills and also had 10 digs. VanderHorst recorded 12 kills and hit .346 with three block assists. Tracer had 35 assists and eight digs.
