LIMA, Ohio – The Davenport men's soccer team rebounded nicely from their first loss of the season on Friday with a 2-1 win on Sunday against No. 17 Bellevue at the UNOH Classic. The Panthers found their offense again after being shut out on Friday. DU recorded 19 shots including 10 on goal while holding Bellevue to four shots and three on goal.
The Panthers (2-1) scored both of their goals in the opening half and then held on for the win after the Bruins scored in the 55th minute.
TJ Ifaturoti scored on a penalty kick in the 27th minute and then
Lasse Pico Kjeldsen scored his first collegiate goal in the 36th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Ifaturoti finished with three shots on goal and
Carson Brinks also had three shots on goal from his defensive spot.
Lucas Ohlman got his first start in goal of the season and made two saves to earn the win. Ben Martin made eight saves for the Bruins.
