GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport falls to conference opponent Indiana Tech by a score of 85-66. It was a battle for the opening 11 minutes of play, while the lead was never that big for either team. With 4:43 remaining in the first half Indiana Tech took a six point lead and never looked back.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was low scoring for the opening 15 minutes. With just under five minutes left in the half Indiana Tech was up 22-19. After a strong last five minutes of the half, by the Warriors, they led 37-27 heading into the half. Davenport shot 33% from the field in the half and 17% from the three. Indiana Tech faired a little differently, they shot 45% from the field and 40% from the three.
After both teams came from the locker room and started the second half the Warriors seemed to have a pep in their step. Indiana Tech went on a 13-6 run in five minutes to start off the half. Davenport rode the coat tail of senior
Kevin Rich in the second half, and after he hit a free throw with nine minutes left in the game the lead was cut to ten points. Indiana Tech made ten free throws over the remaining nine minutes of play and Davenport wasn't able to flip the momentum.
Kevin Rich scored 13 points in the second half and went 7/7 from the charity stripe. He finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists. All of these categories led Davenport on the night.
