Babbs and Falkenberg Lead DU to 80-48 Win over UM-Dearborn

Davenport is now 19-2 overall and 13-0 in the WHAC

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The sixth-ranked Davenport women's basketball team picked up win number lucky 13 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with an 80-48 decision over UM-Dearborn. Davenport led for 35:12 of the contest and shot 42.6 percent (29-of-68) from the floor while holding the Wolverines to 38.5 percent (20-of-52). The Wolverines coughed it up 25 times against the DU pressure and the Panthers scored 31 points off turnovers compared to 15 for the visitors. Davenport is now 31-0 against UM-Dearborn and have won five straight games. The Panthers have also won 20 straight WHAC regular season games dating back to last season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
20 and 9 - Freshman Jenna Falkenberg scored a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and also grabbed nine rebounds in 18 minutes. Falkenberg also finished with a 4-of-4 at the foul line to go with two blocks, one steal and one assist.
12 and 10 - Senior Molly Babbs put together her third straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes. She shot 6-of-10 from the floor and also had three assists and a career-high five steals.
12 in 11 - Freshman Ashley Cline came off the bench to score 12 points in 11 second-half minutes going 3-of-5 behind the arc.
14 - The Panthers recorded 14 steals tonight which is the fifth-best total of the season. They also have eight games this season with 10-plus steals.
25 - Davenport had an outstanding 25 assists on 29 made field goals this evening. It is their fourth-highest total this season.
