The Panthers, who are 7-1 so far this season, squeeze out a win against conference opponent Grand Valley State in a four set thriller in the Student Center: 25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 25-23.
The Panthers struggled defending the Lakers offense but pulled through in the end.
 
Outside hitter Nathan Vander Meer hit a match high of 23 kills with ten errors off of 54 attempts, hitting a .241.
Khari Jones had a team high with 15 digs, the highest on the team by seven digs.
Jason Mais and Sean Cox tied with four blocks each out of the team combined 11.
Setter Christopher Croft had 39 of the teams total 45 assist.
 
This contest was the second conference game of the season. The teams season will continue next week, February 2nd, in Arlington Heights, Illinois against Robert Morris College.
