GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Ian Thompson helps Davenport end losing skid with 7-2 win on the road over Calvin College. The Panthers went into the game not having a road win for the season and got the job done tonight. Davenport had five different players score tonight and were led by I. Thompson's three goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Calvin College came to play in the first period. The Knights successfully defended their home ice for the opening 20 minutes of play. Davenport wasn't able to score and went into the second period down by one goal.
-A scoring barrage proceeded to occur for the Panthers. Davenport netted five goals during the 20 minute period and took a 5-1 lead heading into the final period.
Brad Reitter scored the initial goal for Davenport and then
Luke Formica followed his goal up just 12 seconds later to give DU the 2-1 lead. I. Thompson scored two goals in the period and
Chris Corgan added the other one.
-Davenport added two more goals in the third period to increase their lead and create more momentum for their home game on Saturday. Both
Everett Thompson and I. Thompson each scored a goal in the third period.
-I. Thompson had the most goals for DU with three.
-Seven different players tallied an assist.

Jason Rhynold started the game in goal.
