MARQUETTE, Mich. – Davenport is traveling up north for their first-ever GLIAC Tournament game. The Panthers are the seventh-seed in the conference tournament and play against the second-seed Northern Michigan Wildcats. The game will be played tonight (November 15) and the first serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Davenport finished the regular season 9-7 in conference play and ended on a three-match win streak. The Panthers finished three places higher than the coaches preseason poll predicted them to finish. Davenport finished fourth in the GLIAC South Division and seventh overall in the GLIAC. The one and only meeting between Davenport and Northern Michigan this season went the Wildcats way. Northern Michigan won 3-0 on their home court on Oct. 21. The match will be played at Vandament Arena and the winner advances to the conference tournament semifinals on Saturday.
