GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport will settle into the month of November by playing their final two games at home beginning on Saturday with a major test against No. 12 Ferris State. Like most contests this season for the Panthers, it is the first meeting against the Bulldogs who were NCAA DII semifinalists a year ago. The last time DU was at home they picked up a victory over McKendree and will look to make it two in a row.  The last two contests they have lost by a total of just 10 points including last week's 17-10 loss at Michigan Tech. Linebacker Kye Black was all over the field in the contest setting school records for tackles (18), tackles for loss (5.5) and sacks (3). Defensive back Arnell Anderson also set a career-high with 13 tackles while also forcing a fumble and breaking up two passes. The Panthers scored seven points in the fourth quarter which gives them 44 of their 101 points this season have come in the final 15 minutes. Ferris State is riding a five-game win streak outscoring their opponent, 173-78, during that stretch. FSU beat Northwood 24-14 a week ago not allowing a score until 5:42 left in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs converted just 5-of-17 on third down but were 4-of-6 on fourth down. They out-gained the Timberwolves 449-286 and rushed for 246 yards on 54 carries (4.6).
