CLERMONT, Fla. – Davenport adds two more wins to their season total after sweeping Calumet College of Saint Joseph in dominating performances. The panthers won the first game 4-1 and won 11-2 in only five innings during the second game.
Mallory Teunissen and
Emily Maves each get the win today and have a combined record of 11-1.

Davenport was coming off of a tough match against Southeastern and bounced back successfully after the 4-1 win over Calumet College of Saint Joseph. The Panthers were able to hold the Crimson Wave to only one run off of their five hits. Davenport converted on the offensive side of the ball with their four runs off of six hits. The game was tied during the bottom of the fourth inning and senior Tasma came up with a big time home run to center field that scored her and Flores. Teunissen was able to hold the Crimson Wave to three consecutive scoreless innings to close out the game.

The bats were boom sticks during the second game as they poured in 11 runs off of their 13 hits. Davenport not only was impressive on the offensive side, but held the Crimson Wave to only two runs off of their seven hits. Four different players had two or more RBI's during the game, French (2), Obetts (2), Rowe (3) and Eastman (3). The second and fifth inning saw DU score a combined nine runs. Flores hit her first collegiate home run during the third inning. Maves was solid on the mound, giving up only two earned runs during her four innings pitched and improves to a perfect 6-0 on the season.
