FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Davenport snagged an important conference road win against Indiana Tech 15-14.
Tara Pluger scored the game winning goal with 5:01 left in the second period after she forced a turnover and scooped up the ground ball. The Panthers have now won 10 straight games and improve to 9-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
This game was a constant back and forth battle, with multiple ties and lead changes. Davenport got on the score board first with a goal by
Brooke Knoll just 46 seconds into the game, assisted by Pluger. After numerous lead changes the Warriors scored back to back goals to take a one goal lead with 6:14 left in the first period. Davenport responded with four straight goals to end the period and take a 10-7 lead.
In the second period the Warriors out-scored Davenport 7-5. The Panthers halted the comeback and finished the game on the right foot. With 9:14 left in the game the two teams were tied at 14 goals a piece. Senior Pluger took matters into her own hands late in the game. She forced a turnover, picked up the ground ball and fired a shot to give Davenport a 15-14 lead. The goal would end up be the game winning goal and gave the Panthers win number 10 on the season.
